Does anybody brew in Northern Utah

I like the Richmond store. It is small, but well stocked. He sells 50# sacks of grain and is the only place I've seen with leaf hops not just pellets.

Does anybody brew in Northern Utah

All grain really isn't that difficult. With this site I was able to get the resources and feedback I needed to make the jump. That was about twenty batches ago. I have since made a keezer that holds six corneys and am considering doing 15 gal batches in sankes. All grain is the most economical...

New to UT, LHBS & more

I recommend Salt City Brew supply. They are knowledgeable and well stocked. Plus as an added bonus they are just up the street from one of my favorite Utah breweries, The Bohemian Brewery. As far as kegging goes, it is not illegal. You will find corney kegs almost exclusively. If you are...

    Counterflow chiller question

The holes in the copper tubing act as a venturi. I just built something similar except mine filters the air and doesn't look as nice.

Trouble setting up johnson controls a419

You have to adjust the jumpers from the factory settings. You have to unplug the unit and open it up. Once you locate the jumpers you set them to cooling mode cut out at set point (the top jumper over to the left). This allows you te set a point for the cooler to turn on at a certain temp and...

    propane burner

This isn't the jet type it is an adjustable flame high pressure burner. it is very comparable to the banjo sp10 and sq 14. Except it has a higher btu rating. It was the same price as the banjos and home depot has free shipping. I looked to this site when I was doing research and wanted to post...

    propane burner

I decided purchase a Brinkmann burner from home depot. At 100,00o btu's it really gets the job done. I figure I will get 4 batches per 5 gal. propane tank. I got it online after researching the banjo burners and comparing them to this one, I chose this one.

    bottling a lager

I am doing my first lagered beers. I have a question about carbonating after bottling. Can anyone give me some guidelines on what temps I should store immediately after bottling for carbonation. Also, does it take longer to reach carbonation.
