    Megapot 1.2 Hole Plug

So in my case (15 gallon megapot 1.2 from NB) they shipped a Blichmann thermometer. I ended up needing this: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/plugbrewmom.htm

    Megapot 1.2 Hole Plug

Ozzy, did you ever get this sorted out? I've got the 15gal Megapot 1.2 from Northern Brewer and recently purchased a giant mesh bag for BIAB. I need to remove the thermometer in my kettle to make sure the bag doesn't rip so am also in the market for some kind of plug.

Are your hops ready to pick? Take a closer look.

For anyone with access to 3d printers, check this out: http://www.pnnl.gov/news/release.aspx?id=1071. Less than a buck to "print" a microscope attachment for your phone. If you look up local hackerspaces or maker groups in your area you're likely to find people who have one you might be able...

I missed the last round or two on these buys. Sorry to hear about the issues but glad there's a new plan in the works. Please send me the price list link/location when it's sorted. Thanks for all your hard work on this Stonebrewer!

    Adding Ingredients to Brew Target

I just made a cider and was wondering the same thing. I think I kind of figured it out but it seems like a bit of a hack. I measured the gravity of the raw juice with a refractometer and it came out to 1.053 and I'm doing a 3 gallon batch. When adding a new ingredient the "extract" seemed to...

    Brewtarget 2.0 Update

Nevermind, I think I figured out the issue. I had some of my grains set to be mashed instead of steeped by accident so I think it was an issue with absorption.

    Brewtarget 2.0 Update

I'm still having some trouble with water volumes on extract/PM batches using v2.0.1. If I set my equipment to calculate the pre-boil for me and have a finishing batch size of 5.25gal it tells me I need a pre-boil volume of 6.88gal after calculating my losses. For an extract batch I assume this...

    Wyeast 4021 Pasteur Champagne Attenuation

I have a 1.092 braggot recipe that I was planning to pitch on some measured amount of a 3787 yeast cake. I also have some of this 4021 champagne yeast on hand. http://www.wyeastlab.com/rw_yeaststrain_detail.cfm?ID=38 says "NA" for the attenuation %. My brewing software (Brewtarget)...

    is this powdery mildew?

That seems like a good possibility. Fortunately the treatments (spraying with a hose, wiping it off, spraying with soapy water) overlaps pretty well with what I was doing to deal with what seemed to be an aphid issue as well. It's hard to tell 100% whether the aphids are gone since the leaves...

    Brewtarget 2.0 Update

I was having the same exact issue w/ the software on a couple partial mash batches. It makes sense that the extract displaces water. What is problematic is that I couldn't initially figure out how best to adjust the software to deal with it. Eventually I concluded the easiest thing to do...

    is this powdery mildew?

Definitely not bird poop as it mostly appears on the underside of leaves. I haven't seen any slugs but that doesn't mean they aren't around I guess. Good to know it's not mildew though, thanks.

    is this powdery mildew?

I have been looking at different threads and also found this: http://www.uvm.edu/extension/cropsoil/wp-content/uploads/PowderyMildew.pdf. It doesn't seem to look exactly the same though. Is this likely to be mildew? Or something else? Underside of some leaves: On the actual bines:
