    Thanks. The first batch was good. I have a clarity issue (forgot to rehydrate irish moss) but the beer tastes great. I didn't find the capping process to be bad at all. Truth be told once you get going its actually kind of fun.

    Im also a new Texan homebrewer. Just cracked my first bottle of my brown ale this week! Are you using the grolsch bottles because you prefer them? I find that regular longnecks work just fine for me. I've got an IPA planned for next month. Happy Brewing!

    My only completed batch so far was an American Brown Ale. It came out tasting great though it's a little hazy and pretty dark for the style. I think I may have made a mistake on the amount of Irish Moss to use and went with one teaspoon instead of one tablespoon. You live and you learn I guess...
