    How did you come up with your grain bill? Did you base it on anything you were able to learn about how the brewery makes the beer, or did you wing it based on your experience with the beer? Just curious.

    Storing full kegs

    That's what I suspected. Thanks for the quick reply. In the interim I did go out and check the kegs for leaks with some Gas Leak Detector solution and found nothing.

    When I put beer in kegs to store, I put 10lbs. of pressure on the beer (uncarbonated) to store, but I notice that within 12 hours if I reapply pressure it takes in the pressure. I can't identify any leaks in my kegs and it seems to happen with every keg I have. Do you think this is due to the...

    WTF is this??

    Completely 100% normal fermentation. Maybe was a bit slow to start (sounds like you may have started your starter too soon. 12 - 18 hours ahead is plenty), but otherwise normal.

    Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale

    So, did you brew the beer? How did it go? I'm planning to brew it Saturday and I'm interested to hear how your brew went. I have a RIMS system, so I'm al little curious about how the mash and sparge will go with the pumpkin in (or on) the grain bed. Cheers. Ken.
