The glasses you use for drinking your brews

My wife and I got two sets of these Mikasa glasses as wedding gifts. The pilsner and wheat glasses don't fit in the cupboard :(, so the tulip and goblet get the most use. I also use a Sam Adams "perfect pint" glass that my sister gave me as a gift fairly regularly.

    Discuss: What is "Craft" Beer?

But the adjuncts in BMC beer are used to obtain a certain flavor profile, albeit a light, muted one. The term "craft beer" is certainly up for debate, but I feel that it refers to beer that maintains the unique standards and vision of the brewery, rather than trying to appeal to the masses.

    Re-capping bomber bottles.

While that would work great for preventing oxidation, the vacuum created would pull more CO2 out of the beer than usual.

    Tips?

If I had to give you one tip, I would say be organized. Things go much smoother when you have everything you need all laid out so you don't have to search for anything. Sometimes things go awry, and it's much easier to deal with when you have everything at hand.

    Who drinks your creations?

Mainly myself and my wife. However, I did bring some of my first brew to a family gathering and it was pretty well recieved, so I plan to continue with that and hope people enjoy my future brews. Got some porter in the fermenter now that's coming with me to Thanksgiving dinner :mug:

White sediment after boiling top-off water?

Now, I plan on using another 2.5 jug of this same spring water for my boil - should I worry about these precipitates causing off-flavors?

White sediment after boiling top-off water?

I'm prepping for my second brew tomorrow (Brewer's Best Robust Porter kit), and I boiled 2.5 gallons spring water to top it off. I know that this may be unnecessary (my first brew I used water straight from the tap - turned out fine), but I want to try different methods as I learn the process a...

What Beers To Push Through Stout Faucet

    Buffalo Wild Wings dumb commercial

I thought it was pretty funny! If there's anything to be upset by, it's the whole "you're a guy, so you're supposed to like football" marketing.

Pesticide Sprayer for Star San solution

We use an almost identical one at my job for acidic cleaners, and it's held up just fine. If you're worried about long-term effects, maybe just run some clean water through it before you store it.

    Too Soon?

A bit of explaination first, please bear with me... I ordered a couple Cascade rhizomes in March, and started them out in a small-ish pot inside to give them a head-start. Soon enough I had half a dozen shoots or so breaking ground, and eventually a couple grew to 8-10". I wanted to start...

Rhizomes arrived yesterday - not ready to plant

So my rhizomes arrived from Fresh Hops yesterday (super fast shipping!), but I'm not quite ready to plant them. I live in a town house, so I'll have to put them in a container - which I don't have yet, nor do I have any soil prepared. The paperwork that came with them said "Upon obtaining the...

Is there a science behind bottle design?

I've also heard that the longer neck provides an area to hold the beer that doesn't get your hand as cold or the beer as warm. Not everybody holds a bottle by the neck and I usually drink from a glass anyway, so I'm not sure if there's any validity to that.

    Worst salvage bottles?

Another vote for Short's - the labels come off, but I don't know what kind of glue they use to adhere them.
