Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

I've seen this at Trader Joe's. The packaging and price point seemed enough to deter me, but I'm sure I would have tried it eventually. Thanks for the heads up. :cross:

    Side Effects of Beer

I've done all of these activities while sober. Just putting that out there. I work out 5/6 days a week and struggle to keep my weight down with as much beer as I consume (5'10" 180lbs). But, I enjoy working out as much as I enjoy brewing and consuming beer. So, I can't complain. :tank:

What is up with my lack of hoppiness?

I had this same problem with the IPA I brewed awhile back. It's only been in the bottle for about 6 weeks but the hop flavor has definitely dropped since tasting the first beer at 3 weeks. The hop flavor was a little weak to begin with I admit, but now you can hardly call it an IPA. This was the...

The day my Carboy BOMB Destroyed my basement

I've had this exact thing happen as well. It really did look like someone sawed it in half from top to bottom. I also had a water pipe/hookah break in the same fashion. I was carrying it from the neck when the base bottom just broke off leaving a completely even break all around the bottom of...

Why and when did you start brewing?

I've always loved craft beers and often thought of brewing my own beer. I love to cook as well. I just brewed my first beer in Sept of this year and it came out great which has inspired me to keep brewing.

    Experiencing Beer

Absolutely. Unless I'm drinking a cheap lager I almost alwasy drink from a glass. It kicks the beer drinking experience up a notch IMO.

How do you transfer wort from the kettle to the fermenter

First time I poured directly into the siphoned carboy. I spilled too much wort that way so now I use the auto-siphon.

Stupidest thing you ever did brew related

Sitting at work hungover today, this thread made my day!! I can't really contribute yet as I haven't brewed enough to make any epic mistakes. But, I'm sure I'll be sharing one day.

    Boiling on electric stove

I think it depends on your stove mostly. I've read other people on here getting 8+ gallons to boil on an electric range (perhaps it was gas?). Toss some water in there before the weekend and test it out.
