    Future of ball lock kegs?

Anyone have specific info on the conversion parts to convert pin-lock kegs to ball-lock...? I have mostly ball-lock kegs, and that's what my kegerator is set up for, but I also have a couple older pin-lock kegs I'd like to get some use out of....

    Cheap Carboys & Bottles!

Sorry everyone, I haven't been on in quite some time -- got busy with life basically -- work travel, work projects (and way too many working hours), and family time --- crap, I haven't got any HB in my kegerator and haven't brewed since before Thanksgiving! But I do want to squeeze this GB...

    Cheap Carboys & Bottles!

OK, I snoozed at the wheel and didn't do what I said I would on the 26th of Dec. But, anyone that wants in, please PM me now (even if you already PM'd me in the past) and let me know how many carboys you'd like. Also give me your real name and your town/state (if not your full address). Once...

    IDEA: Ultimate Mash Tun

Are you planning to bring the steam in from above, through the paddles, and make the vessel turn, or are you planning to turn/spin the steam carrying paddles - I guess option 1 seems simpler... Glad to see you've stuck with this idea, I'm looking forward to seeing the end result!

    Cheap Carboys & Bottles!

OK, as you might be able to tell by my lack of posting in the past month or so, I've been pretty swamped. However... I do have some time off between Christmas and New Years, so I'll attempt to review this thread on or around the 26th of December and will PM those eastern-MA posters (and those...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

What do you think about Safale US-05 (or US56) instead of the Nottingham? Same same or will it effect the flavor? I'm all for using dry yeast w/o starter on a house favorite as you are leaning here.

Do you get the NFL Network?

I have Comcast, NFL network is not included here, and no I don't think I should have to pay extra for it so I don't bother. Cable is starting to be such a rip off I wish someone would mount a formidable competition with them somehow...

Perhaps Some Good News on the Horizon re: Grain Prices

I don't think grain prices are going to improve any time soon. This quote from OP's WSJ article kind of explains: {"But even though U.S. farmers this year planted their biggest crop since World War II, prices have stayed well above $3 a bushel, thanks to rising demand in developing countries...

    xm or sirius???

Exact same for me. Sirius always has something on that I enjoy listening to. Also note, the playboy channel is decent, too. I don't think XM has that one.

Suggestions for food and drink in Corpus Christi?

Well, missed the executive surf club. I only ate at our reception dinner in the hotel, and at the Republic of Texas which happened to be on the 20th floor of the hotel I stayed. The filet mignon was fantastic! The bill was absurd... The beer selection was mediocre. But I had a blast, basically...

Suggestions for food and drink in Corpus Christi?

Just here for tonight (Tues) and Wed and Thurs evenings, leave out Friday AM. I'm downtown w/no wheels so I guess I'll try what was already suggested, kind of disappointing there's not a Mexican food restaurant here in the downtown area... Thanks for the pointers!
