I just learned this at my LHBS. They we tried 4 different liquid posts, and one of them worked. They're ordering me a Firestone which should be in on Monday or tuesday. I'll report back to confirm it all works.

I have an extract brew that I planned to cold crash and bottle back in June. Well, I cold crashed it... and it's been sitting @ ~45°F in my mini fridge ever since. I've hit the "paralyzed by uncertainty" point and am afraid to bottle it. Is my yeast dead? Did it drop out? Can I mix in...

Been thinking about adding a name to the brewing operation me and the SWMBO, so far I've come up with two; Big Oak Brewing Company -- Named after the giant oak tree in our front yard Dutch Irish Brewery -- I'm of Irish descent, and she's of Dutch.

Which really bums me out. I have a Whiskey Barrel Stout I was really excited about entering into tonight's extract competition. :(

Can you, or anyone, please confirm this location? I found a place called Island Soda in Holtsville not Holbrook, but it's not on the same road. I also found a Long Island Soda Systems in Patchogue, but again, completely different road. I got my hands on a 20lb for $10 but I need to get it...
