    Possible CO2 Leak

I kept having a problem with coming home to an empty tank ... then I put my manifold and all connections in to a sink full of water, and found a good leak in one of the manifold connections and also in one of the C02 keg connections. That last one wouldn't be a big deal unless it wasn't...

    Imperial Witbier Experience?

I have an imperial wit that I am just now cold crashing. I brewed it in mid January and is sitting at 9.7% ABV. I have noticed over the past several weeks the hot alcohol taste/burn mellow out quite a bit, and while I'm sure it could benefit from conditioning more, it is really pretty great...

    Destin, FL beer spots

Other than McGuires Pub, I believe the only other locally brewed beer will be at Props in Ft. Walton Beach. They are new and recently opened, and I don't think they've even brewed yet. Still waiting on some equipment I hear.

Bottling a few but kegging the rest?

When I'm racking the beer to the keg I just rack some in to 6 bottles first, on top of the carb drops ... works great!

    Chocolate Espresso Stout

Perfect! I think that's exactly what I need. Thanks!

    Chocolate Espresso Stout

Our beer is at about day 6 of primary fermentation and is tasting fairly bitter. I think this is due to the cocoa powder. I'm considering adding lactose to sweeten it up a bit, but I'm wondering if I should wait until after I add the espresso to see if that mellows out the bitterness a bit...

    Pumpkin beer? Pumpkin tap!

Haha I had thought of that, but I would have to somehow seal the hole in the bottom of the pumpkin I cut for the beer line. Unless I just used a container of water and dry ice for the same affect, it just wouldn't cool the lines that way.

    Pumpkin beer? Pumpkin tap!

Thanks everyone! And because it isn't clear, I have the pumpkin on a little homebuilt table. I have the keg under the table in a trashcan of ice. It almost looks like that could be a kegerator covered in a Halloween table cloth, but it isn't.

    Pumpkin beer? Pumpkin tap!

I thought of this as a fun idea to serve my pumpkin beer at our Halloween party last night! It turned out to be a big hit! I was worried about how the pumpkin would support the tap, but it was much stronger than I thought. I did reinforce the pumpkin with some wood just in case.

Haha I really only opened this thread to see if anyone had made an office joke yet.

Calling everyone that is attending Oktoberfest 2011 in Munich

Just a heads-up in case you don't get a large enough group - I went with my wife last year (AMAZING), and as long as you get there early (between 10 and 12) and it's during the week, you can pretty much just walk in and sit down in any tent you want. Most all (if not all) tents have non-reserved...

    Bluebonnet Entry Form/Bottle Label

Hey everyone. I know this is last minute, but I paid for my entrance fee yesterday before it was too late. I am planning on dropping off my beers at the LHBS today, but when I went online to print out my form and bottle labels, the online form was closed. Maybe I was confused about what...

    Best Beer Store in DFW

Central Market and whole foods is exactly what I thought of. Haven't found a better selection anywhere else.

Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

Can someone help clarify this mash schedule for me? I will start by saying that I haven't done anything more than a single infusion mash and batch sparge, so I am not used to interpreting a mash schedule. I am confused by the 2.5 qts/lb grain, which is 9 gallons of water. Is this going to be...
