I’m late to this conversation but here it goes. I mostly use Krispy Kveik and I repitch ALL the time. Kveik will last forever but it did start as a liquid (well, it’s still a liquid). Yesterday I did a double brew and had saved Novalager from my last brew. It had only been 2 weeks in the fridge...
This is the most delicious beer I’ve made out of 27 batches. First time trying sequoia hops and I think that’s what makes it great. The recipe is on Brewfather. Look up Vienna Sequoia
For Easter I try to make a Cadbury Cream Egg stout. It’s my second year trying and my second time not getting the flavour I want. Both times however, very good stouts. This one finished with a 1.020 gravity, so it’s very thick!
I’m about to keg an oatmeal stout fermented on Kveik. I was looking for some vanilla flavours but I don’t think they came through. I’ll have to wait for carbonation and serving temp though.
I just finished the keg on this one. It’s a Pilsner Urquel clone. I don’t know what the real beer tastes like but this was really nice and looked great. I’ve never used so much Saaz in my life.
My first year as a home brewer: I made at least 80 gallons. I say at least because the recipes called for 5 gallons but I often got 6-7. Boil off isn’t great with Brewzilla.
I made this holiday brew with Kveik lager yeast. It’s SO tastes like Christmas. 3 base malts with some cara II, 2 cinnamon sticks and 2 zested oranges. Added some molasses to bump it up to 7%. Christmas means stay home at my place!
I got 10’ of 3/4 pax (pvc) with corner pieces and t-connectors. 2 - 12 packs of red pens from the dollars store and a 3/4 inch FNPT X FHT PVC Swivel to connect the hose. I had the fastrack (they’re pretty cheap on Amazon) and measured it all out. I got the adhesive recommended for pvc. It dries...
I don’t mind when I have a couple helpers. We plot through 2 cases in about 15-20 min. It’s just an excuse to drink with friends. By myself, I don’t overly care for it.
