Well if anyone is interested in an update I stopped by and took a sample and it smelled just as it should. It had that see some malty yeast character that you would expect and no fusels alcohols. So we moved it.to.a.closet that remains cool. The temp.was showing 79 when I got here so we will see...
Hey ya'll. I brewed up a batch of Coffee ESB last night threw in my yeast starter and had a little bit of activity an hour after pitching. Now this morning it's raging on like you would expect. The only issue I have is that the thermometer on the brew bucket is reading 81 degrees. I know that's...
The thing I love about brewing the most is that everyone has their own set up and style. I personally did opt for the bigger pot, but I also purchased a couple of 15.5 ga sanke kegs that I'm turning into fermentors. I'm not trying to jack the thread but there is a lot of good advice here.
This is a little later than the article, but 3 weeks after it was posted I was in Rome on a port visit and we stumbled upon Scholar's Irish Pub. It was kind of nice to be in a pub in Rome, on Christmas and drinking Punk IPA from Brew Dog! Cheers!
According to AHA website, there is apparently a club in Peoria. I emailed to see how active they are. I guess I will see when I get a response. If not, B/N isn't a long drive so I may consider ABNormal. I'm getting out of the NAvy and heading back home in the next couple of months and looking...
Right? My wife uses Offer Up quite frequently and loves it. I have seen a similar amount of cheap mini fridges for sale. I wish I could find cheap legs for sale.. Literally anywhere.
Its sitting in 5.5 gallons of water. I was hoping to brew tomorrow since I haven't been able to brew in about two months due to not being able to control ferm temps. I realize it may take more than 2 days to adjust
OK so after my having the need to replace my Pi, I received it in the mail. I got Pints set back up and didn't need to reprogram my arduino, but I did anyways. For two days now I have been testing it with a carboy that has a thermowell and I have the water lock in there to recreate how I will...
Yeah I didn't have a thermowell until now. But at the moment I was following fuzze's instructions on setting it up to make it public and now the Pi powers up but nothing loads. I reloaded noobs onto another SD card but no change..
So I have a half gallon jug of water as a test to see how it keeps up the temperature. It's been running three hours now showing consistent swings in temperature from 63-60-63. I feel like 3 degrees is too many. Anyway to stop that?
