just bought this fridge last weekend and my two 5 gal. corny kegs fitted nicely along with the CO2 tank; as everybody said the only mod I had to do was to shave off the door compartments.
Hi, I'm about to keg an imp. stout and wanted to know your opinion on what will be the best way to carbonate it (I don't think I should force carb it right?). Thanks.
Last week I brewed an Arrogant Bastard clone. My pre-boil gravity was off by .001 so I was pretty happy with that... But my OG (post-boil) was off by .009! I thought that because my pre-boil gravity was so close to the original (estimated), my OG will result as well in a closer number to the...
I have a 32 oz jar, it was harvested a month ago and it has been in my fridge since.
You said the starter will let me know if it still viable? How exactly?
Greetings fellow brewers, I have a jar of yeast from my last batch which I'm about to use next week. This is my first time harvesting yeast, so my question is, how do I know if my yeast have survived? I want to know this before bothering making a starter and pitching it into my wort.
I just made a yeast starter but for some reason I'll be unable to brew the day I planned. So my question is, can I dump the starter in a jar and store it in my fridge? And if the answer is yes, how long will it hold there?

I didn't knew that lower gravity equals higher hop utilization...
I didn't take a pre-boil gravity reading, but the OG was 1.050, wich was lower than I expected. And no, I didn't get a rolling boil at any time during the boil.
