    Is this hobby killing us?

Medical guidelines are 2 alcoholic drinks or less per day for men and 1 or less for women. If you haven't been gaining weight and/or feeling off or something then you should be fine. However, if you feel like you need to cut back a little bit just drink one per day or every other day.

    First time chocolate stout

Hey Eric, Could you post the recipe? Here are my thoughts on your issue (not super experienced either so take it with a grain of salt). If the OG was taken after the addition of water, it was probably low because the added water was still on top. I panicked over a low OG once and tried to add...

    Gose-like Extract Beer

I'm planning on having a go at a Gose soon. I think what I'm planning on doing is to just steep some acidulated malt before the boil. Hopefully then I won't have to wait as long for bacteria to sour it up!

Need Dry Yeast for California Common

Just researched a similar question. I decided on Saflager S-23 and same as you planning on doing low ale temps (64-66 range). I've read that this will give a fruity and maybe citrusy aroma and flavor. Never used this strain before though, so take this with a grain of salt. I've got a sweet stout...

Low OG on my wheat beer

Hey guys, I am fairly new to brewing, and I'm still doing extract kits. My first few kits have come out great! This time was a little different, though. I was making a wheat beer from an extract kit and ended up with a much lower OG than expected. The recipe was 6 lbs of wheat lme along with...
