Seriously? Give me a break with the hops already.

i like a lot of hops at the end of the boil and weighted down in a bag at the bottom of the kegs. not really a bitter guy but do like the aroma.

    aging an imperial wheat

i aged a 1090 dunkel for like 5 weeks and then kegged. first thing i realized that it needed more time to mellow out in the corny. second my psi was set at 10 psi, way to low. this stuff tasted better at around 14 or 15 psi. i had a glass the other day and it was a nice mellow dunkel. drink it...

can a bottling bucket be a cask container?

hmmm what if i left it open top. i have two 1 gallon beverage dispensers. the ones with the screw on tops with a pop open pour. only these ones have a spigot an inch from the bottom. my thought is if i let the pressure able to release it should work. say keep the cap on snug but not sealed...

    does cooler shape affect efficiency

would i be best with a round or square one? i only ask cause the square will have more surface area vs the round. does this matter? does anyone find that you have more stuck mashes in one or the other? i am looking at a 40 qt round one and a 42 qt square one and started think. so...

Bayou Classic 44Qt SS pot w/ spigot review

thing is a beast. did a 10 gallon batch yesterday with a buddy. with the large surface area we were able to do all 10 gallons with no boil overs. very nice. the spigot had a very slow drip from the threads but stopped once we reached boil temps. handles were strong enough to lift the whole 10...

    carbonation pellets obsolete for keggers

i used carb drops from the fermenter bucket bottles only. i have yet to see how it turns out. i am waiting >30 days. never would use carb drops from the keg method. sorry if it was worded wrong. wand method for the record is solid. removed wand from bottle after filling with 3 psi and topped of...
