    How much would you pay...?

I have an opportunity to buy a used Richards branded danby beer keg refrigerator that comes with tap, reg, co2 tank. I know new this would all cost a pretty penny. what would a fair value be on this used package of items? cheers, john

    dry safale yeast

ya, I think putting it in a zip lock bag would have been the intelligent thing to do... I will probably just buy another new pack, but see if I can get a starter made with an older pack. Just don't want to mess up a few hours work on trying to reuse a old product. This weekends project is...

    dry safale yeast

ok, because I do 1 and 2-3 gal batches, I normally only use up to half a package of dry yeast. I normally fold the little package over and put it in the fridge. Should the left over yeast kept in the fridge still be ok to use in future brewing or for the price of those, just by new ones...

Is being an extract brewer such a bad thing?

Really, there is not a huge cost to move to all grain. You can go as big or little as you want. I made a wort chiller for $25 and my igloo mash tun (5gal) for $55. I started doing extract, then moved small batch 1 gal all grain and now do 2.5 gal all grain. [2.5gal is enough for my...

Should have used a blow off tube...

Just as everyone else has said... I have had the luxury of cleaning a few fermentation lid blow off's because I did not use a blow off tube. It is very simple to set up and will save you a lot of cleaning of something goes wrong.

    Cask Help/Opinions Wanted!

Ok, been looking through these threads and found a lot of great info on doing cask. I am not looking at investing $400-500 on a professional hand pull engine. So I have a rocket hand pump on order that I am going to use as my engine... OPTION 1. Here is where I am thinking. I see people...

    This Normal?

Ok so I normally wait a min. 2 weeks to try my brews.... Been doing some 1 gallon mini all grain batches which have been coming out amazing. Made a Belgium IPA and because of the small batch, used brewers best bottle condition tabs. After one week I had a look in the bottle and it looked to...

    First All Grain (1gal) IPA

the taste is actually very good. my abv is only 4.1. I have made some changes in the ones getting bottled this Saturday and they should be around 5.5-6.0. decent balance, but hop heavy. used 1.5 for my boil. used 1.5 gal water boiled down to just under 1gal. but good body, and the citrus...
