Can someone tell me what this is?

There is a motor and compressor with a big pulley inside the housing. It looks very simular to the tap cleaner listed on ebay but has more pieces. It also came in with what could be the pieces used to attach to the taps.

Can someone tell me what this is?

Had something interesting show up at the scrap yard today. Only other thing I can find made by beer utilities was a tap cleaner on ebay.

Google, here I come. HOLY CRAP!!!!! people are paying $350 dollars for these things. So I guess I got a pretty good deal...

    What is yeast cake??

Is it supposed to be hard. If not how do you get all former batch out? Can it only be used for the same type of beer again? I just kegged the first batch I ever made. There was a layer of white goo at the bottom. Did I do something wrong?

Best price on copper for wort chiller?

Best place to get copper cheap is a scrap yard. Trust me I know, I run one. I buy rolls of copper all day for $2.50 a pound and sell it for $4 a pound to plumbers. Look up recycling in the phone book and see if you can find one local.

    7.75gal "Pony" Sanke as MT

Great website. Thanks for that. So now that I know it will fit does anyone think it would be beneficial? Less metal=less heat transfer? Sparge arm would be closer to the grain bed disturbing them less?

    7.75gal "Pony" Sanke as MT

Anyone ever use one? I have a 15.5 but thought a smaller one would provide less heat lose. Would it be large enough for a 5gal batch?

Thank you all for the warm welcome everyone. I'd be more than happy to keep an eye out for things you might want. If it's kegs you're looking for I would have to charge the SS scrap value which is about $30 and shipping would probably be a b*tch. I have a few questions but I'm not sure this is...

well not to rub it in but the same guy just showed up with a 3 tap tower, drip tray and 3 keg couplers. Had to give him $5 for that load. Found out he's cleaning out a bar. He'll be back shortly with all the neons.

So I've been here lurking for a little while and figured I'd say hi to everyone. I brewed my first time on Jan 23. It is probably a day that I will look back on years from now and laugh about. I became interested in this whole process after seeing the Mr. Beer kit. Went home did some reseach and...
