    Just bottled this last night. I tried a sample from my hydrometer reading and it was a little tarty but had resemblance of banana and cloves. My FG was 1.012-1.014. I could never get a good reading for some reason.

    My bucket lid cracked last night too. Except mine cracked on the edge. I was using the lid remover tool and prying it off cracked it I suppose. I wasn't using that much force but it cracked nonetheless. I am going back to my brew store to see if they will replace it because this is the 2nd brew...

    No, I fermented at 72* consistently. I'm stumped as why it would stop at that point.

    It tasted a little bitter but hefe's taste a little bitter when they are young. I'm going to let it sit for another 2 weeks before I bottle.

    Yes, it was an extract kit. I did mash some oat and caramel wheat to add some body. If that is yeast clumped on top should I try to stir it in and break it up? Will, it try to eat more of the sugars or is my yeast pretty much done?
