Nice setup. I thought I was looking into my patio for a minute. I just recently had a hopped pilsner. Very surprised how well it tasted. I'm in the bitter camp for beer and it was a nice change from the hazy IPA kick I've ben on for a few year.
You might want to bump up your Oats. You're currently have 10% oats in the grain bill. You might get more haze and better mouth feel with 20% or more oats. I like the Lalbrew Verdant yeast but have gotten good results with 1318 as well. Good luck.
Ordered. Thanks for risking, hopefully the virus isn't hanging out on a piece of stainless. Do you think the condensate will have wort in it? I was thinking of pumping the condensate back into my MLT. Grant
So far so good. Mashed in at 156 add the grain and temperature went right down to 148. Temp dropped a little after setting the MLT to 148. Seems to hold with a 1/4 flow through the MT and the MLT set to 152. Its 58 Deg. today in Phoenix so I'll have to watch the temperature of MLT when it...
I've had a 30 amp BIAB panel and now a 60 amp duel element panel for a Spike 20 gallon complete system. Ryan has been very helpful and responsive to any issues that have came up. Just last weekend while getting my system setup he responded to an email on Saturday which saved the rest of my...
I found out that Spike got a batch of temperature probes from China that were wired wrong. I think they read from left to right instead right to left. :) Thanks to the quick response from Electric Brewing Supply, I switch the wiring at each PID from the sensor and everything worked.
I got my 20 gallon system put together, filled the MLT and turned on the element. I get "LLLL" for the temperature reading on all PID's. Anyone have any idea whats going on? Yes the probes are in and the wiring is connected to each tank and the control panel.
Thanks
Yep, temp was at 68 Deg. for 5 days with the enzymes, just started crashing it 2 days ago. Doesn't look like its going to drop any more but I did get an additional 0.002 out of it. We'll see.
