I have a bucket of Coopers Ale that I totally forgot about in my garage. It's been almost a year. Should I dump it? Try to bottle and carb? Is it worth messing with? Will it still be drinkable? Thanks for any help you can lend.
Hi there,
I've been making beer using coopers extracts. I left my most recent batch in the bucket for about a month now (not by design) just was busy. Am I ok to bottle carb it still or would I be better off kegging and force carbing or does it matter at all?
Thanks
I've made this recipe several times...it's amazing. Thanks for sharing. I was running short on carboys so I moved 5 gallons into 1 gallon apple juice bottles . Now two of the bottles have something white forming on the surface of the liquid. How should I proceed? it's ready to be kegged and...
Thanks for the suggestions.
I put on a new o-ring and the results are unchanged. It still leaks quite a bit. I'm guessing the post/poppet needs to be replaced. If that's the case, can you give me some thoughts as to how I should go about fixing it (the keg is full with carbed apfelwien)...
I've been both bottling and kegging my home brew and apfelwein for about two years. Yesterday after force carbing a 5 gallon batch of apfelwein I connected the "out" ball lock quick connect and it started leaking. I changed quick connects (I had another one) but the result was the same. I...
Good Morning and thank you for all the information in this thread and of course the wonderful recipe. The first batch I made, I back sweetened with splenda and keg carbed (it turned out great). My current 6 gallon batch I thought I would stabilize with 1/4 teaspoon Potassium Metabisulfite and...
Kegged and carbed my first batch with a little splenda for the gf. She likes the commercial apple ciders so I gave it a go. It is delicious! I had two pints last night and uhh yes....the stuff is strong, be careful. I have another batch ready to keg, but this time I won't sweeten. I'll...
Thanks for the reply. The list I'm looking for doesn't have clone kits, but rather lists brand name kits (coopers, muntons, brewers best) and associates each version with a brand name I would recognize. Not really listing the kit as a clone but associating it with a style/brand I may have...
I have my very first batch (Coopers Real Ale) fermenting right now and while researching I stumbled across a really cool table of the available extract kits and their brand name (sierra nevada, blue moon, newcastle, corona) style equivalent. The table also had some notes/reviews/tips on each...
Although I've read many many threads on this forum, this is my first post. I started my first home brew (a coopers kit real ale). I added 1.5 pounds of DME, 1.5 pounds of corn sugar and .5 pounds of maltodextrin and used the provided yeast. I brewed a 5 gallon batch and for 7 days at (67-69...
I am starting a keezer conversion project and my $40 craigslist freezer has some plastic trim pieces on the front of it (temperature setting) and also some plastic inserts along the length of each side of the lid. My question is can I use the appliance epoxy to paint the plastic trim pieces...
