Here is my stupid question for the day: If I boil for 90mins instead of my traditional 60, am I going to lose 50% more to boil off? Does my logic make sense?

One of the bars here has a keg as a urinal. They cut it in half and left it a bit higher in the back and plumbed it all in, its quite neat actually.

What are you looking to get for these? I am looking into starting to keg my home brew and sourcing local supplies has been proving difficult. I do not know what is a good offer to make for these so I was just wondering what your asking price woud be.

I am looking to build a MLT like this but have been reading that only having a central draining point, which just running the braided hose would create, will cause the grain in the middle to become overly rinsed while sparging etc that may release tannins. Which would then leave an off taste...

Apologies for reviving this old thread. I am looking desperately for somewhere near Regina to order my malt. LHBS charges nearly $8/pound which is getting ridiculous. Part of my enjoyment in brewing my own is the cutting down of costs compared to just buying craft beers from the liquor store...
