I have only made 6 batches so far and have bottled them all. I find it takes a month or two before the beer take good. I have everything I need to keg a batch and just afraid to make the jump. If it takes weeks on the bottle will it take weeks in a keg to start tasking right or with the co2 make...
I used a Wyeast smack pack - 3944 Belgian wheat yeart.
It is going crazy in the box witha STC-1000 set at 21.5c.
This is only my 4 batch and I have racked the other 3 batchs.
If I don't rack, how long should a leave it in the carboy before I bottle?
I am fermenting at 73 +/- .3 , would you rack?
Is it better to let it stay in the primary and cold crash to clear?

I have a batch of AIH Bluemoon clone going right now. I am thinking about ordering a basic summer wheat extract kit and brewing on the current yeast cake?
The few questions I have are
1) is this just a bad idea?
2) Should I rack the Blue Moon after a week to secondary or wait 2 weeks...
One last question on this, I brewed this last Saturday at 6pm and it has been sitting at 70 since then. The fermentation has dramatically slowed down and I am getting a bubble every 15-20 secs. Is it ok to rack and add the vanilla bean or should I wait for the bubbles to stop?

Thank you for all the help. I am not going to clod crash. My plan is to go to secondary and add the vanilla bean. I will then wait a week and bottle.
This is a beer for my wife and will take her a few months to drink.
I sure hope this turns out great, I need her on my side to buy a kegging...
Would there be any adverse affects to cooling the primary before racking? I am thinking this would help clear the beer before racking to secondary. I would also suspect it would make the yeast cake harder
I would then bring it back up to temperature.
I am making a vanilla porter
