Pardon the newb question, but the numbers inside the blocks in the chart... Do they refer to the number of packs of liquid yeast required? Or am I forgetting about another variable?

Oh cool. Small world. Have you tried brewing with the tap water? I've been using 3 Gal bottles of Primo spring water from the Kmart with some Mr. Beer kits I've been playing around with. I'd be curious if you had decent results from out tap water though.
