    So a lil update, I'm on 3 weeks today. Last satuday I checked the gravity and it was at 1.01.. I decided to give it another week in the secondary. My only concern is priming. Here's my thoughts "more yeast eating = more carbonation .. = possible explosions of beer = a sad brewer

    So I bottled my first beer the other day. Really stoked to see what the results will be of all my time an money invested Into this new hobby.. I do see some what looks like trub in the bottom of the bottles.. Small amount. I had a final gravity of 1.008.. Do I drink this?

    Them barrels ain't cheep. I think I'm thinking of using the American oak chips from Midwest. How long does them barrels give off flavor? Is there a difference in wine oak chip compared to beer chips?
