I have one of these and it works well for temp control when fermenting.
If it is empty when I am brewing, I often put it over my mash tun (which because I BIAB is a 10 gal brew kettle) to help maintain the temp. This is super helpful in the colder months.
I had a terrible experience with a DarkStar - no matter how I adjusted it, it always left lots of black char on my kettle. This was a huge pain to clean up.
I upgraded to the Bru Burner, which initially gave me problems with the flame going back into the Venturi tube. I've mostly fixed this...

I know lots of folks that are tea snobs and much prefer tea to coffee. I am one of them. Things I try to avoid:
- Tea bags: Whenever possible, I use loose leaf.
- Adding tea to water: That is just wrong. Hot water should be poured over the tea
- Lipton or similar: These are the Budweisers of tea
