I made this recipe from the podcast as well. I also tweaked the recipe for hop utilization and scaled it up a bit for trub/hop loss. Let me know if anyone wants my exact recipe. This beer turned out fantastic. Actually best beer I have made but thats probably because I am a hop head and obcessed...
Skeezer,
I wanted to thank you for all your hard work on this clone/thread. I brewed up your recipe a couple months ago and its already almost gone. I had a friend bring a bottle of the real Zombie Dust(approx 2-3 months old) to our club meeting yesterday so we could see how close it was. Mine...
I just kegged yesterday my Stawberry Wit. I hand picked 40lbs of berries from a farm and picked out the best 10lbs to use in a 5g batch. I just cleaned them the night I picked them and threw them in the freezer to break down the cell walls. After 7 days or so of fermenting I racked the beer on...
Anyone heard of "Black Wheat"? If so how many/how they are best used in recipes. I recived a huge bag(3lbs ish) as a wedding gift but dont know what to do with them all. I have hardly seen any references to them on any recipes either. The guy at the homebrew shop told the family member they are...
I know it is that time an many are asking about fermentation and warm weather. I have one to add. Is it just during the active fermentation that it is most important I controll the temps or even two weeks into it will the warmer temps really cause some off flavors. The reason I ask is I have a...
I recently brewed the Wildflower Wheat out of Extreme Brewing. It called for 2 oz of flowers. One of the only reasons I brewed is I was at the grocery store and noticed a new spice/herb rack that had whole chamomille flowers and remembered the recipe. I did some research and someone commented...
The Dead Guy clone from NB went fast for me. IMO it was very tasty! However not quite a true clone in my opinion. More than likely it was because it was an extract kit. Nothing against extract cause thats how I roll :-) :D
It will definitely mellow out with time. The batch I made has been in the bottle over a month now and it is perfect IMO. However since sharing with many friends I have noticed many people have different opinions on how strong the oak flavor is. Some say it is really oak'ed some love it. :mug:

I am new to kegging myself but I have used one of these. Only holds approx .5 ounces of whole leaf hops but it worked. Thinking next time I will throw two in the keg. Not seen any bigger but...
You would fit in well. There are approx 150-200 in the club but most meetings average around 100. You can get as serious as you want. Many members are very experienced and are easy to talk to. There are also many that just enjoy the beer and do not even homebrew. Monthly meetings average around...
I am in a killer Brew club in Milwaukee. They are called the Milwaukee Beer Barons. Link is below if you are interested. You should check it out sometime.

I bottle the exact same kit in two weeks. I did a decent amount of research before hand, even speaking with someone at my local Northern Brewer store who had brewed this kit. With the oak cubes you want to give them more time. Approx 2 months. If you were using chips, weeks are more ample time...
It is an extract brew and I did use LME. I am just a Noob so not ready for AG. I guess I will have to live with less control until then. Thanks for the info!
Once again I would like to thank everyone on this site for all the helpfull information. I am on my second brew and it is dry hopping in the secondary. Everything is going good but the recipe indicated a final gravity of 1.016-1.018. When I took a reading today it was at 1.010. I am really not...
