    ADDING GELATIN AT WHAT TEMP?!!!

Worst case is you may have made jello, which may not clear your beer and may clog your beer lines if you do it in a keg. Heat the water & gelatin mixture to pasteurize it, not to boil it. 160 degrees for 30 seconds does it.

How to clean a used Kegerator

Get some EVA barrier tubing like: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/evabarriertubing4mm55.htm Along with push-to-connect fittings. Use it for both gas and liquid. Use the appropriate lengths for liquid lines. Use MFL keg disconnects.

Probably a bad sensor since the rest of the system is working. I don't have a Hosehead, I built my own controller and used Strangebrew. The sensors are DS18B20 one wire sensors, you can find them on Amazon and various other places. Then you'd have to change the address associated with the sensor...

Have you ever used a BIAB bag in your mash tun as a filter so you can mill finer?

I mash in a bag in a 20 gallon bottom draining mash tun. I mill very fine. After mashing, I hoist the bag (custom brew bag) and drain. Then I batch sparge, lift and drain again. No recirculation, no vorlauf. Largest beer I do is an Imperial stout, 33lbs of grain, 11 gallons of strike water...

Could be that the sd card got corrupted. I had my controller die after a power surge along with my temperature sensors. Got a new card, reloaded, replaced the sensors. One way to check is to open it up and connect the HDMI port to a tv or monitor, turn it on and see if it boots.

    Bottom Draining Kettle Options

It wasn't very hard to silver solder a tri-clamp fitting on to the bottom of a stainless kettle (I wanted a 20 gallon kettle, or I probably would have used an inverted keg.) Just drilled the appropriate sized hole with a step bit, cleaned up the hole, and soldered on the fitting. From there you...

    Floating keg pickup

I just throw my hops in loose. They settle out, that's the purpose of the floating dip tube.

100% MO barleywine - boil down first runnings?

Just made one, but not with syrup from first runnings or a long boil. 32lbs of MO first runnings only for 7 gallons, boiled to 5.5 gallons until 1.115 og, about 2 hours. Did a partigyle beer with the second/third runnings, added 7lbs flaked oats and 3lbs munich to get 10 gallons for an IPA. 2...

    Ginger beer with no bubbles

Give it a day or two. Yeast undergo a growth phase before significant CO2 is produced.

    Kegging ipas

How are you dry hopping in the keg? I used to dry hop in a bag or in a canister, and had the same issue. Now I use a filter around the dip tube or a floating dip tube and have the opposite issue, the first few days have overpowering hop aroma and taste. Overall I'm much happier with the end...
