    Glass jars for freezing pellets?

Hmm. This might satisfy my constraints: FoodSaver® Reusable Gallon Vacuum Zipper Bags https://a.co/d/foRRpHL Reusable. Put the YVH Mylar bag inside. I will check this out.

    Glass jars for freezing pellets?

The other reason I don’t like plastic alone is that the O2 permeability is not zero. According to the analysis in the FoodSaver Mylar roll Amazon link, the “leading” plastic bags (Which are presumably FoodSaver) range from 34-55 cc/m^2 per day, at one atmosphere and 100% oxygen. For a 10”x12”...

    Glass jars for freezing pellets?

Interesting. I looked into this a couple of years back and I’m pretty sure these weren’t available then.

    Glass jars for freezing pellets?

That works, but I have been trying to reduce my use of single-use plastic. We have too much in the environment already.

    Glass jars for freezing pellets?

FoodSavers won’t seal a Mylar bag. But since the Yakima Valley bags have zipper-type seals, you might be able to use the FoodSaver to suck out the air and then stop it before it has time to heat up the sealer. I’m traveling or I would give it a try.

    Glass jars for freezing pellets?

I use pint jars and a vacuum sealer to store my hops. The vacuum sealer pulls -24 inHg, which means it removes about~80% of the oxygen. This is equivalent to reducing atmospheric O2 to ~4%, which is good but not ideal. I usually go through a jar in a year or two (much faster for commonly used...

    tasty beer with less alcohol?

You may want to consider exploring cold extraction. This has been on my list of techniques to try out. https://www.brewingwithbriess.com/blog/cold-extraction-of-malt-components-and-their-use-in-brewing-applications/

    Thiolized yeasts are going away

Presumably Omega’s pro brewer contracts prohibit giving their proprietary yeast strains to a competitor.

    BIAB super squeeze device

So I subscribe to the “let it hang and maybe give it a squeeze or two if I have nothing better to do” philosophy and I have no interest in yet-another-thing-to-clean. But if I were going to go down this path I would take some inspiration from the commercial mash filters and look at using a...

    Problems with Tap Trailer

If there are no check valves, the pressure will equalize across all the kegs. If there are 8 beers at 12psi and 2 seltzers at 35psi, this will equalize to ~17psi (assuming equal headspace). But after some number of pours the headspace will increase enough to drop the pressure back down to 12 (or...

adaptor so a 220V Brewzilla gen 4 can plug into 110V wall socket.

Actually, each US 120v phase peaks at ~170V. The 120V that is widely quoted is the RMS (root mean squared) voltage across the waveform. Similarly, the peak-to-peak voltage on a 240V circuit is ~340V. RMS AC voltage is used as it represents an approximate equivalence with DC voltage.

Q for Ritebrew customers, how good is their milling?

Speedee is great, if you are in their Midwest delivery region. Of note, they just expanded their delivery region to include large parts of Kansas and Missouri. Expansion letter

    6-20R receptacle in brew panel?

I ran into this same issue when I built my system last year. I bought 6 feet of 10/3 SJO at Home Depot, only to find that it didn't have a ground. It's an hour from my brewery back to the land of big boxes, so I went to my local electrical supply store (that I didn't even realize was there...
