Thanks for the replies. I'm sold on taprite but there r so many different models. It's my OCD:). Some have barb connections with the ability to turn off the gas there. I'm poor:) don't mind turning the regulator with a screw driver, so many different models. One I saw was 742hp?75 bucks? Just...

Yeah I think I figured it out. I was grabbing the top lip, barely and just popping the top of the bottle. Had to be on my ipa:) Thanks for the help. Let's brew!!!

The hydrometer rising would have freaked me out:) Anyhow I don't think k u have anything to worry about. I think u said 4 days. IMO reading you have aways to go before u need to check. I know u want to see what's going on. Kills me waiting sometimes. I keep my fermenter @70f and bottle 21 days...

Thanks for all of the response. Using then same opener I have always used. I ditched the Sierra Nevada bottles after I had that problem. I must be cranking them down to hard. Two of the last six have broke. On an ipa I made. Taking about crying over spilt beer... I had never heard of breaking...

I had a brew awhile back ago that I didn't get the caps crimped on good.sierra Nevada bottles I think it was but anyhow I use a hand crimper and crimp hard.Busted two bottles of my IPA opening them .yeah I know.that sucks:) anyon else ever had this problem.tnx

Mike I'm about 10 or 12 batches in.it is a slippery slope.it amazing how good the beer u can make it.I brew just about every week now.gone to all grain.having q blast .have fun
