I want to brew an octoberfest but every recipe Ive seen calls for a 3 step mash. How could I replicate that? Is it even necessary? Thanks in advance for any input!
I am trying to run some numbers for a recipe using brewtoad... When I add my fermentable options, I started by inputing 3.5 lbs of pale 2 row. This showed no change in OG. After adding all of my options in fermentable, my OG says 1.008. The recipe Im following says it should be around 1.057...
Its on the outside. I was simply curious as to whether these were toxic in any way? And I was replacing an old one. Some of the numerical squares had turned white through age and washes.
