Looking for O'Fallon Unfiltered Wheat and Wheach

May be interested in some Dog Fish brewery stuff. You ever have Wheach? Plenty around to give away. Most places in my area stopped carrying it. After tasting it, I can see whey. Really into their unfiltered wheat though. Good stuff.

Did you buy new or used frig and/or freezer?

Got some great ideas. Thanks all. Will be a little more patient for a good deal, but looking like a HD freezer which is always on sale seems to be the way to go. We also have a Sears outlet near by that sells dent and scratched appliances at decent prices, thanks to the person who suggested...

Did you buy new or used frig and/or freezer?

Used frig or freezer too pricey in my area. Live in the St Louis area and check CL every day. People still want $150+ on average for a frig 9+ years old. Freezers are not much better. May be time to look new and pay the premium. I wonder how many brewers buy new rather than used frig or...

Did you have a lot of activity that you needed a blow-off, or you do that regularly? Just getting an idea for this recipe for the future.

trying a "crossover" wheat - wish me luck

My favorite are wheat beers and the only batch I have made so far is wheat, and plan on doing another next weekend. Let us know how this works out. I would like to experiment with hybrid wheats myself. I think there is plenty of room to mix wheats for some unique flavors.

Unplug the fermentation refrigerator when it's empty?

hafmpty, thanks tremendously for the information. Going to get that temp controller for sure and the space heater. Still contemplating on drilling into the frig, seems like it may work without, but will see how it goes, then see if I have to drill. read too to tape the probe to the carboy...

Unplug the fermentation refrigerator when it's empty?

You mind telling what you did for a set up? I am trying to set one up. Looking at a frig and a freezer tomorrow. Order the Johnson temp controller digital. Just getting ideas before I buy. Thanks.

Getting a frig for fermenting, questions.

hey running, are you fermenting same type of brew (ale or lager)? I'd love to have like 4 going, and freezer is the best way to go, but don't want to limit myself. Forget it, I guess I can get a belt to warm up the ales if need be. Just thinking out loud.

Getting a frig for fermenting, questions.

For fermentation. Mostly ales, maybe occasional lager. Many deals on craigslist to pass up. Simple standard frig, freezer on the top. Was going to get a freezer, but only have space for a stand up frig at the moment. Just getting a frig and a Johnson digital temp controller. Still...
