    Thanks for the tip. I should mention, this crown is underneath a rose bush, probbaly why the plant was still here when i bought the house. The buyers are brewers and are excited about the plant being here. would it be possible to use your method with just rhizomes?

    I have a well established hops crown in the back yard. My wife and I are moving and I would like to take some of it with us. I will be in Limbo this winter, what do you recommend I do? Can I dig a Rhizome and keep it refrigerated, maybe put it in a pot? I will most likely take 5 or 10...

    I agree, that may be a little short. It may be OK for first year plants but what I would do is set the plants 10 +/- feet away from it and run coir to the top. you may need to stake it down, not sure how windy it gets by you.

    Summer Hop Hunting Results

    Very cool find. I used to go mushroom hunting along the same trail(s) when I used to live down there. I bet when it was an operating railroad, Hops were transported on the train and a few may have fallen off.

    Harvest duration

    It appears as if my Hops are ready to harvest now. some cones are starting to show slight signs of browning. I have limited time between now and next week. what kind of window do you have to Harvest them?

    I live a couple Hours East of you and travel through Syracuse often for work. Your Machine looks fabulous. I am playing with my First Hops plant this year and need to Harvest it here soon. Your machine will be able to do 100+ of what I can do in 1 hour lol

    Preserving Hops Clusters

    Is there a way to Take a cluster of cones and a section of the Bine and preserve it to use as Ornamental Decoration? I would love to hang a cluster behind the bar but still have them look like they were just pickedn and not all dried out. :mug:
