    Kegland Digiboil

After about 9 months of use and 7 five gallon batches run through the unit as a boil kettle, I must say that I am quite happy with the product. For those interested in my experience with the product. Definitely worth the purchase imo.

Standard. I have no need for the mash accessories because I converted my outdoor propane setup to indoor use.

    Kegland Digiboil

So I've decided to pull the trigger and make the investment into the 110V 35L Digiboil last week. It arrived today. I have yet to use it, but my initial thoughts are that it is made of poor quality. Metal shavings on both the spigot and the nut to hold the spigot in place. This device...

    Kegland Digiboil

Great to hear! I'm glad that you like it that much. I'm about 99% sure I'm going to pull the trigger myself and buy one; just need to run it by swmbo. For mashing, I plan to continue use of my converted Home Depot 10G water cooler. That should maintain my mash temp within a degree or two...

    Kegland Digiboil

Has anyone used the Digiboil as a fermenter? I know there is a sealable lid sold seperately and the product description states that you can use this item as a fermenter. I'm curious to know how well it would regulate your temp while fermenting if you set it to a specific temp and let it go for a...

Let us know you're initial thoughts when you get the opportunity to use it.

When you reach a boil, do you keep both elements on or drop down to one? If you drop to one, which one? I wonder if you would have to keep both on if you did 5+ gallon batches.

    Kegland Digiboil

Last question (maybe) from me. What is the maximum (and minimum out of curiousity) temperature you can set it to? I'd find it strange if it was only 212°F, especially if it's standard deviation is +/- 5°F.

I'm still going back and forth on getting one of these. What are the dimensions of the unit and what is the length of the cord?

    Bottling Bucket Fermentation

An awesome cleaner that I love to use on practically all of my equipment is a hot solution of OxiClean Free. It removes all the gunk it comes in contact with granted you have to rinse all of your items thoroughly that the solution came in contact with. Side note, I took apart all 3 of my...

    Bottling Bucket Fermentation

Well alrighty then! It looks like I'm having a spigot cleaning party tonight! @RPh_Guy I assume you sanitize every time you go to take a sample and then again when you go to transfer, correct?

    Bottling Bucket Fermentation

So you just use your spray bottle of sanitizer and soak the inside (obviously spraying inside of it) and outside before attaching your hose to transfer, correct? Do you take samples from the spigot anytime beforehand to run tests?

    Bottling Bucket Fermentation

I know I'm not alone when I say that I use my bottling bucket for fermentation purposes. I have never had any issues with it, however I have never trusted transferring my wort through the spigot with a silicone hose. My concern lies with sanitation. I cannot figure out a fool-proof way to...

Do/did you use a neoprene jacket to better regulate and insulate the heat?

    DigiBoil Electric Kettle - 35L/9.25G (110V)

I'm thinking about purchasing the subject kettle. I understand that it is bare bones, but that is all I need because I have other equipment for mashing/sparging. I typically brew outdoors with a propane burner, but I'd like to have the ability to brew indoors when the weather does not permit...
