@LBussy hey I finally bought a 3d printer as was looking for your design of the temp probe holder on thingaverse. And it looks like you might have removed it. Did it not work as expected?
You know I realized that this week and I have an ez boil on order. This my pain I had on my shelf from my old sous vide machine I built before the home commercial versions were available.
No I appreciate it. But that isn't a L6-30 plugin. It is a locking California style CS 6364. The angle of the pic makes it look like that. The plug has the ground on the side.
Oh i understand. And i have read your HERMS discussion and i tend to agree. At the stage im in, im trying to figure out if i could just tune a manual valve on my RIMS output to limit flow to a certain temp. I have read you use flowmeters and proportional valves and i will go to that at some...
So i was always concerned about the heat. I was planning on shifting the SSR down a bit and wiring a small fan with vent holes at the top. I didnt realize the heat sink was only rated for 15 amps.... ill reconfigure. I do have the large 40amp heat sink from auberins i can upgrade too. I didnt...
Right so with you just wiring them all together, you are just utilizing the ULWD of the element. And not using thing ability to fire all 4 for heating strike water, and then switching to 1 for mash temp stability.
Ill probably end up ordering one at some point.
hey @BrunDog are you still selling quadzilla's? how are you wiring the individual wires? are you using quick disconnects? 4 different cables? single cable for all wires? I might be in the market in a few months now i build my basic controller(thread in the electric brewing forum) and will move...
I used doug's schematic and added some bells and whistles. Can switch between 240 and 120. I took this picture before i turned it on and i had the LCD upside down. And then i moved the current meter down to the Line1(red) between the inlet and the contactor so i was accounting for the current...
has anyone ran into this issue?i have built 2 identical control boxes. Both are running version 2.12. one runs flawlessly and the other's screen wigs out after a few hours running. It never resets. And when i turn it off and back on it loses all settings for the relays and probes.
the only...
the panel was only going to pull 30.....but going through my processes last night i think i need to run 2 elements..... so im going to move up and put to pids and elements and have a full 50 amps coming in.
Ok maybe i misspoke on the male outlet....maybe i should have said receptacle or inlet, but basically a recessed male plug for the power in to plug into. Like below. But i can see it is 86 bucks just for that...
