Does anyone have the Kegco KM11GM-3R Grain Mill? This looks to be similar to the monster mills but at a much lower price point (175 after shipping). I typically brew ~15 (5 gallon) batches per year so I'm looking for something that will hold up but not break the bank.

I’m trying to cut time off my all grain brew day and I’m thinking I can reduce some of the front end work by preheating the HLT water the night before. I use RO water and make adjustments with bru’n water to hit my water chemistry. It seems like it takes about an hour before I’m ready to mash...
Well its probably not necessary but I essentially copied the designs that utilize them for carboy necks. I figure I get a better seal on the connection for the gas tubing / straw. As long as the seals are good I don’t think the orange cap is necessary.
I have the fermonster Carboy and came up with the following setup. I utilize a demi-john bung and the orange carboy cap blow off cap. I run the racking cane through the carboy cap and through the standard bung hole. To get the gas in, I used a stainless steel straw through the bung and up the...
I kegged this beer the 1st week of August. I would agree that my dubbel has a fairly clean yeast character at this point. I have not drank much yet since this is more of a fall beer. I fermented in the 66-72 range but this yeast may need higher temps to throw off more of a Belgian character. I...
I've had mine in the keg since the first week of August but not drank much since this is more of a fall beer. However I would tend to agree that it's a fairly clean yeast at this point. I fermented in basement which typically keeps the beer 65-72 degree range. This yeast might need higher temps...
Well since I'm really trying to get an understanding of the malt I went the smash beer route but will likely try the pale ale recipe as well at some point.
I went 11 lbs MO
With 1oz mosaic at 40,20,10 and whirlpool
The ibu projection is high but with most of them being late in the boil it...
All grain brewer looking for a recipe to see the difference between American 2 row and Marris Otter. I have about 8 AG batches under my belt and want to try Maris Otter malt. Any recommendations on recipes that use MO as the base malt.
I brewed a Belgian Dubbel with this yeast on 7/4/17 and within 4 hours it was going. Large Krausen 12 hours post pitch with initial ferm temp ~68. The airlock is more active than any of my previous brews. I plan to let it rise but try to keep it under ~75.
5.5 Gallon Batch - OG 1.066

I had a similar issue in a wheat beer however I hit my FG target but took beer off the yeast cake to soon for cleanup to occur. After reading a ton and not wanting to mess with adding more yeast I tried a solution mentioned in another post. I let my keg rise to room temperature and added crushed...
I brewed this about 4 weeks ago and it is absolutely fantastic. I followed the recipe with slight modifications to hop amounts due to my citra being 13% aa. I dry hopped in the keg at room temp for 2 days and left them in my keezer. The aroma screams passion fruit and other citrus smells. The...
I'm two days into fermentation with a new style wide mouth caribou the fermonster. The beer is a clone of zombie dust with an OG of 1.070 pitched with 1.5 packets of rehydrated US-04. A large krausen developed 14 hours post pitch and strong fermentation 20 hours post pitch. The airlock filled...
