Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Interestingly, I have a pretty crazy setup in my garage where my garage router and RPi are right next to each other. So I had hoped it would help. But it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I will try this repeater route and see if that works. Otherwise I will have to get more creative!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Ahh interesting, okay. My Fermentrack RPi is about 2 feet from the fermentation chamber. What you described is what I was trying to use the TiltBridge for. I will try for find the repeater firmware and try that instead and see how it goes. Okay, thanks!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hey all, I have a strange problem. Long story short, but chest freezer seems to be acting as a faraday cage and not allowing my Tilt signals to get out... Slightly longer... I replaced my chest freezer fermentation chamber a few months ago, and since then I haven't been able to log Tilt gravity...

There is a parameter in the setting under Configure Control Constants that sets max fridge temperature. You will need to increase that.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Hey all, question for the team. This post is nearly a a decade old and 8,000+ posts long. Is there a more recent post that summarizes the best practices for setting up the most recent iteration? Absent that, can anyone point me to an approx. post number where I should start reading. I love...

Winter Seasonal Beer Great Lakes Christmas Ale Clone

I do, but they are different. I enjoy both immensely. The GL version to me tastes like a Christmas-y IPA, while my version is like a Christmas cookie amber. A little hard to explain, but that is the essence. My version of Christmas Ale started off with this recipe as a base. However, after...

Winter Seasonal Beer Great Lakes Christmas Ale Clone

I make a similar beer every year with ginger, honey, orange peel, vanilla, and cinnamon. It is not an exact clone of the GL version, but it is excellent.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Ahhh thought more about it. No. I have the LCD connected to 5V Vin and the I2C pins are getting 3.3V signal. Is that what you mean?

Hmmm I haven't exercised my EE degree in a while. Like a pull-up/down resistor? If so, no. I have the LCD hooked-up like this pic: Edit: This is not correct, as I noted below, I am mixing 3.3V and 5V. I will grab a level shifter.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

One last question: I got everything working and so I got ambitious and installed a physical i2c LCD screen. The screen works and displays the correct information, but it does not update. It displays whatever information was on there at startup. Any idea why this might be the case?
