    Brazillian Organic Honey Mead

My best Mead batches use this honey and the surprise flavor it imparts is the reason I need to order so much of it. This honey comes from a region of Brazil that is known for it's Lime orchards and beautiful climate. The product is very clear and typical in color. The price makes it very...

    Dry Ice to Carbonate Beer?

I would think temperature might make the sublimation rate un-predictable, the size of "pellet" would have to be pretty exact and as soon as your beer hits it the shock could blow the bottle. I kinda want to try it just to find out what happens (in the back-yard, of course). I use priming...

    Smokey Amber

This looks very Yummy, I love chocolate and caramel. The smoked malt is awesome. I can almost taste it. Your grain bill looks great, you gotta let us know how it turns out! Coffee and Toffee is a really good idea in an Amber. This is one I may have to try. Good luck!

    'The MVP' mead

This looks like a very tasty recipe, especially the vanilla/vodka... I like Vanilla beans and Vodka, Wink. I might have to try this.

    First all grain brew!

Well done! Sorry about your wife's interest, my wife drinks wine and "swears" she's not the one drinking all my good brews, (I hope she's not right behind me). The pictures are excellent, your chiller looks very clever but I can't make out the details.

    Blackberry recipe

I've been considering fruit beers as a strategy for clearing a pesky problem in my back-yard, and the biggest problem here is over-grown Blackberries. For years, I have "controlled" them and made use of them in pies, compotes, and dried fruit snacks. I live in Oregon and everyone has to deal...

    Simple Yeast Storage Procedure

Awesome post, really helpful. The pictures are superb. I forgot to collect my yeast precipitate when I racked to my fermenter, but I think there will be enough when I rack to my bottles. It's just simple Ale yeast, but I'd like to build my collection. Thanx for the cool stuff!

Use of wine bottles for beer

This is my question too. The bottles I've been saving do have a lip for wiring the cork down, but, I have no idea if the glass can take the pressure. My bottles are "Magnum" sized, so I thought it would be a novelty to have several types of brew and mead in Champagne-style bottles. I think...
