Help with wiring 10000W 220v Adjust SCR Voltage Regulator

There are several examples of these being used. There is even a company selling pre-made control boxes with these. I'm really not worried about it handling the amperage.

Help with wiring 10000W 220v Adjust SCR Voltage Regulator

I think there's a number of us that find this route interesting. I will be collecting the parts needed this week. Can someone help with an electrical diagram to include one of these regulators as well as a "main" push button on off and a secondary on/off controlling a standard outlet for a pump?

    Simple electric brewery

I think I am also going to go this route. Can anyone help out with a wiring diagram for a on/off switch using one of these "knob" type controllers as well as a 110 outlet and on/off for a pump. Button type on/offs are preferred if that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

    Simple electric brewery

Wow, seems like an easy solution. Why doesn't everyone use one of these to control their boiler? I understand the precision of having a temperature controlled setup as well as the fun involved in building and operating a KAL style control panel, but it seems redundant to do so when you can do...

    Help BCS 462 wiring Schematic/Advice

Is the BCS known to crash? I assume manual mode would simply give full power to the element?

    Help BCS 462 wiring Schematic/Advice

Sorry for the total newb question here but I'm trying to decide whether or not to go ahead with a Kal style control panel or a BCS setup to run a single pot and pump. The reason why the BCS is on my radar is that eventually I will scale up to using a RIMS tube for mashing. My question is why...

Is Guinness the most overrated beer...ever?

Guinness has really transcended the beer market. It's beyond what most beers are, it has become a household name and has practically become what kleenex is to tissue paper or what Dixie cups are to styrofoam cups. When you say the word "stout" to 99.9% of beer drinkers they think Guinness...

    Problem with mash temperature

If you're going to fill the lid use low expansion foam. If you use the high expansion stuff you will destroy the lid.

750ML twist cap bottles. How to cap?.. Suggestions? Help!

Hope that is clear enough. So that is a 750ml pelegrino bottle capped with a twist on cap. I pick the caps up from my local wine/home brew store in bags of 12. They are twisted on by hand, you have to make sure not to over tighten because you can make the threads skip if you tighten too much...

750ML twist cap bottles. How to cap?.. Suggestions? Help!

Update!... about 2 weeks have gone by since I bottled 48 750ml twist cap bottles with new "pop bottle" type bottle caps. 0 gushers, 0 bottle bombs and 0 infected bottles. I opened two up to sample and both were carbonated and tasted great. I'd call this a success! I have about another 48 empties...

American Wheat Beer American Wheat Beer - 2nd place Best of show - 2011 HBT BJCP competition

Just cracked my first bottle last night after about 10 days of conditioning and another few in the fridge. A definite keeper, light tasting with citrusy flavors. I used the kolsh yeast and there is definitely no yeast taste. I will see how it tastes after another week of conditioning though. I...

What type of beer is heineken, so I can stay away

Funny I've never ever had a skunked Newcastle.... Ever, and I've probably drank a couple hundred gallons! At least more then I should have. There are a lot of clear/green bottled brews that don't skunk IMHO.
