At my age (70) I really appreciate a 60 min mash (rest) time. In fact I have been considering going to a standard 90 min mash and maybe getting in a little nap. ;) :p ;)

Thank you for your quick replies. In my situation I think that heating the water hotter might be my best bet.
If I do go with a valve setup do you think I would be smart to install a baffle of some sort to more evenly distribute the water?

When batch sparging must the water be poured in all at once or can it be added thru say a one inch valve? I have been searching for an answer to this question for a couple of days but have been unable to come up with a definitive answer. :confused:
