FWIW, I can hopefully get some temp control tomorrow at the earliest (I have a temp controller, all I need is the freezer). I already rehydrated two packs of dry yeast, and have two more, along with wyeast yeast nurtient). I'm just panicking right now because I can't get a good boil.

One last question. Since the temperature in the bucket will be higher than the actual temperature of the freezer what temperature should I set the temp controller at?
I'll be on the look out for a 9 or more cf freezer. Which digital temp controller do you recommend? I plan on fermenting with the chest freezer outside in a shed which can get pretty hot because I don't have enough room in the house.
I'm interested in getting a chest freezer for fermenting ales in the summer. I've looked around here but was wondering if anyone could lead me into the right size chest freezer to look for (looking to fit 2 6.5 gallon buckets in there at the same time).
