Thanks! The only thing I can think is that I missed my volume measurements somehow. I'll take a better look next time. When you say sparge slowly...is that solely for fly sparging? I batch sparge and people say speed doesn't matter...??
So I just got done bottling a 5 gallon batch of brew. I looked inside the bottling bucket and one of my girlfriends hair was floating around the bottom. I'm not sure when or how it got in there, I'm hoping when it was full with sanitizer...

So, my pre and post volume were nearly perfect. My pre boil gravity was supposed to be 1.054, it was 1.052...no problem there as far as I'm concerned. My OG was 1.060, Beersmith estimated 1.071. I confirmed this reading with a cooled hydrometer sample as well as multiple refractometer readings...
So...I, out of habit set my fermwrap temp control to 72 degrees yesterday after I pitched WLP029. This was my first time pitching it and I obviously didn't think about it and just plugged in 72f which I often do for the first 24-48 hours.
It's been fermenting(aggressively I might add) for...
