I bought this ELEMENT, the 2200 watt version, 220 volts to help reduce my brew time when using the Brewzilla. So I will put it into the wort after the mash is completed to reach boiling temp sooner. My question is, does the element need to be full submerged or can it by hanging above the wort a few inches? That way I will connect it to a power source and simply remove it again once boiling point is reached.
