This is NOT software, its a FREE web or cloud based recipe database.

If you don't want to lay out any cash for brewing software its one of many web based options.

Here's the web link - http://www.malt.io/

If you are a Chrome User they also have it in the browser web app store. (NOT google play)

Been using it for a few years. I like it and think its pretty easy to use and share recipes. This is My Fat Tire Clone.

A few notable things it does;

  • Figures out the ingredient cost.
  • Correlates current recipe ingredients to BJCP Guidelines
  • Generates Brewing Instructions
  • Has Clone Feature (Imports a public Recipe to your Recipe DB to alter)
  • Has a Recipe Scaling Feature.
  • Has a Blogging Widget

I started using it when my PC failed to run Promash. I'm a chrome, chromebook, chromebox user now. I don't install anything now.

The forum is pretty non-existent, the developer links to HBT and other forums and online shopping.

I don't know the developer or have a stake in its success, other than I like using it. So, I figured I'd share my experience.

One observation for AG'rs watch for grain absorption. I don't think it figures for the 1lb:0.1gal absorption rate. I add for this.
