I normally use BLC for cleaning my tap lines but I seen an article recently about beer line cleaners that would indicate when the line was clean. I found this stuff called TM Desanamax that starts purple then turns green or yellow if it detects organic material. Does not look like much information about it here.
I ran LLC(they did not have BLC) thru my lines for 30min then a rinse before trying it. I mixed up the desanamax and ran some thru the lines and it was initially purple when it came out. I allowed it sit in the line for about 5min and it came out green. Another 5min soak and one of 4 taps came out purple. One more 5min wait and got purple on the other 3 taps. Let it sit for 10min, still purple.
Not sure if my lines are really any cleaner but I like the idea of getting some indication when it is done.
Anyone else using this stuff?
