After two moves and a 5 year hiatus, I’m finally getting serious about brewing again. I’m taking inventory and discovered I either sold/lost/stored my grain mill & stir plate. I’m hoping to finally bring all my storage home in the next month.

Right now I’m checking my thermometer calibration. Then I’m going to fire up the burner and measure my new boil-off rate (I’ve dropped over a mile in elevation).

Besides water chemistry & seals, is there anything else I should be checking for?

Should I replace all my hoses, racking canes, grommets, wine thief’s, etc.?

Should I replace my sanitizers? Campden tablets?

EDIT: and I need to replace my propane tanks.

EDIT2: water boils at 212F, just like all the textbooks say (it boiled at 200F when I lived at 5500’). Also, no airlocks survived the moves.

EDIT3: new boil-off rate = 1.5 gal/hr.

EDIT4: I’m certain I moved the grain mill & stir plate to storage. I recall getting frustrated fighting the grain feeder chute when it was in the closet.

I think your campden tablets should be ok... Supposedly Star San expires after a year or two, but I've had mine longer...

Hot side hoses should be fine... They can be heat sanitized

Cold side hoses and plastics? Toss up... Depends on how they we're stored, I suppose.

If they stayed dry and clean, I'd probably just clean and sanitize really well and try batch. Depends on your comfort level, risk aversion, etc

I started pricing it out. I think I can replace everything plastic for ≈ $150 plus new sanitizer & campden for my apples this autumn. Then I could buy a couple Gamma lids and retire a couple Ale Pales I’ve used for almost 20 years to bulk grain storage.

I just don’t want to lose 5 gallons because I cheaped out on replacements.
