I'm going to be in Scottsdale for a couple of nights next week. What are some good beer venues to check out? I know (and like) Goldwater Brewing. Are there other cool places to have a good beer?

OHSO. They have a couple locations. My go-to was the one one in Arcadia on Indian School @~48th. Great beer, great food, nice back patio with Camelback Mtn within touch. Serve their own beer, other locals, regionals.
There are so many really excellent and interesting locally owned restaurants in Phoenix now, not so much Scottsdale. These may be a bit too far from where you're staying, but they're both worth the drive if you have the time.

Cornish Pasty in Tempe or downtown Phoenix! Great beer list, wide variety of really delicious classic and 'gourmet' pasties.

Longer-than-expected workdays kept me from venturing out much. I had a couple of pints with the good folks at Goldwater Brewing, though. I have your recommendations filed away for my next trip!
