I’ve finally completed the build of my 3-vessel electric HERMS brewing system. The process took several years. I enjoyed the build, but in the meantime brewing has taken a back burner to other priorities. As a result, I’ve made the difficult decision to sell the system in its entirety. The system is based on three half-barrel Sanke kegs. All ports are silver soldered using pull through fittings from brewhardware.com. The system has never been used. The control panel has been tested for functionality but not load tested yet. I’ll now describe all of the components in detail.

HLT
15.5 gal Sanke keg, original finish
1/2” NPT port for RTD probe
2 piece ball valve for recirc port
3 piece ball valve for drain port
Sight glass port with custom 1/2” TC disconnects, 5/8” OD polycarbonate sight tube
SS 240V 5500W ripple element with 1.5” TC
Silver soldered 1.5” TC element port
Recirculation return with 90 elbow
Side draw diptube
50’ 1/2” SS HERMS coil built into kettle lid with
silver soldered compression to male camlock bulkhead. The coil can double as immersion chiller

MLT
15.5 gal Sanke keg, nicely polished
3 piece ball valves on outlet and return ports
5/8” dip tube
Brewhardware false bottom
Tee fitting for RTD probe on kettle outlet
12” SS lid

Boil Kettle
15.5 gal Sanke keg, moderately polished
1/2” NPT port for RTD probe
3 piece ball valves for drain and recirc ports
Sight glass port with custom 1/2” TC disconnects, 5/8” OD polycarbonate sight tube
SS 240V 5500W ripple element with 1.5” TC
Silver soldered 1.5” TC element port
Recirculation return with 90 elbow
5/8” diptube
HopStopper 2.0 for Sanke kegs
12” SS stockpot kid

Pumps
1 brand new Topsflo TD5 pump with SS head
1 Chugger pump with SS head, used for ~20 brews
Both with 2 piece ball valve, 90 elbows and male camlocks

Control Panel
240V, 30 Amp PID control panel
Assembled by me as a kit from Electric Brewing Supply
3 Auber PIDs
Timer
Safe start interlock
3 1.5” RTD probes and cables with braided sleeving
Articulating Flat panel TV wall mount

Power Cords
4-prong dryer cord with twist lock plug
2 10’ element cords with 10-3 SJOOW cable, NEMA L6-30 connectors, and braided sleeving
2 10’ pump cords with braided sleeving

Hoses and fittings
4 complete 1/2” ID silicone hoses with female Camlock fittings- 2 2’ and 2 4’ in length
12’ of 1/2” ID silicone tubing
2 - 1/2” MNPT to female camlock adapters
3- 5/8” hose barb to female camlock adapters
2 - 5/8” hose barb to 90 NPT elbow fittings
10 - liner clamps for hoses

Miscellaneous
Remnants of wire in various gauges and colors
Crimp terminal connectors
2 - lighted push button switches
2 sets of numeral decals for sight glasses

I would like to sell the system as one complete set. Due to the size and weight of the system, I will not ship. I am located in central Iowa, but would be willing to drive a couple hours to make the sale. I would also be willing to conduct a demonstration run of the system for a prospective buyer. I am asking $2500 for the complete package. This covers most of what I’ve invested into the system, aside from dozens of hours in sweat equity- soldering, wiring, polishing, etc.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Good for you Brew brother. That’s a great setup. I wonder why people sell their gear sometimes. You did a lot of work on it. I sometimes have sellers remorse for people.
Here’s to you and gear:cask:may you have many long years of fantastic beer together.
Cheers
