I moved into a new house a few months ago, and the former homeowners left their old fridge. It was pretty ugly but fully functional. What better use for an extra fridge than a kegerator build!
The fridge:
The color was pretty hideous, but a few cans of "appliance epoxy" can fix that!
First sand down the outside of the fridge. No power sander... so this was pretty exhausting.
Non-traditional inhalation protection :rockin:
Turned out pretty good. Drilled two holes for taps.
Installed the perlicks:
In go the kegs and c02:
I couldn't find a good size chalkboard for above the taps, so I made my own. I bought a 16 x 20" picture frame at a local home decor store and spray painted the glass with some chalkboard paint.
Superglued some neodymium magnets on the back so the chalkboard can easily be removed from the fridge:
All finished!
