is 60,000 BTU Burner Enough

i am new to brewing and i have done two brews on my electric kitchen stove and it is not doing the the trick. i dont want to spend a fortune but i need a propane burner. i found a cheap $35 unit on home depot but i am wondering is it got enough juice to get the job done?

Wow, I have just had a new boiler for my home, typical 8 room house and that is less than 60,000btu. Amazin !
My burner is however only 2.7kW (I don't know what that is in btu) and it's really inadequate.

I bought a bayou jet cooker that is 185,000 BTUs for under $40 on amazon.

I work for a brewhouse manufacturer, and we set our burners up for 25k btu per barrel for direct fire systems.

Now that I think about it..we also have a firebox where the burner shoots the flame into. It's far more efficient than what I use at home! Didn't really take that into consideration lol.
