Hopefully, hoppy
Good morning, I've been stalking IPA recipes on this site for months. I'm new to brewing, but have enjoyed my first batches and am trying to develop some of my own recipes based on others I have seen. I am hoping to get feedback on something I am trying to develop utilizing Columbus, Centennial, and Cascade hops. Any feedback is much appreciated. My new hobby is rather expensive due to my hops addiction, so I don't want to blow it. Thanks!
Both recipes have the same hops schedule, looking for feedback about the grain/malt profiles.
Version 1:
.5 lb Briess Cara 40
.5 lb Cara Pills
.5 lb Vienna Malt
5 lb Light Liquid Extract
2 lb Pilsen Dry Extract

Steep grains 30 min @153 in 2 gallons. Add water to increase volume, boil, remove from heat, stir in all DME and LME. Return to boil.
Hops:
1 oz Columbus @60 min
.5 oz Columbus @30 min
.5 Centennial @15
.5 Cascade @15
.5 Centennial @10
.5 Cascade @ 5
.5 Cascade Hopstand
1 oz Centennial Dry Hop @7 days
1 oz Cascade Dry hop @7 days

Ver 2:
1 lb American Crystal 10L
1 lb Cara pils
2.5 lb American 2 row
7 lb LME

Probably similar steep times and hop schedule. Also, I've considered using Irish moss at 30 minutes. Any opinions?

My pliney clone did a .5 ounce Amarillo first wort hop addition.then did the other half ounce wit the other additions at flame out
