There's a reason you don't see "compression " fittings too much in the food service field.

Hard to clean!

And methinks the fitting pictured, is "crimped" over a piece of rigid tube, and it has a coating on the I.D. of it.

Google "Permaswage tube connecting system".

It's good stuff for high pressure hydraulics though!

Used it for years!
